Blood Brother is on fire with their continuous collection releases this year. With the launch of their footwear line last month they have a whole host of design to be gawped at. The duo’s latest venture is a bespoke capsule collection picked up by luxe retail giant Harvey Nichols to commemorate its reinvented menswear floor space at their flagship branch.
Continuing the space colony theme they drew inspo from for SS16, the collection uses laundered jersey to create a dusty palette of laid-back originals and relaxed silhouettes. Inspired by old technology and Russian space exploration each style bears space inspired names like Nikita, as in the former Soviet Prime Minister; Vostok, a Russian space station and Airlok, the air pressurizer in a space ships cabin.
Dusty fatigues that appear in “Lunar White and “Ink Blue” feature among icy jogging trousers while an enlarged funnel neck sweatshirt looks ready for a space helmet to be set upon it at any given moment. Powdery tracksuits and breezy tees are the main focus of the collection, a foolproof uniform for setting out into the unknown.
