Indoor Pets – “So Soon”
Releasing their first track since changing name from Get Inuit, “So Soon” is a welcome introduction to Indoor Pets. A power-pop banger, the new cut shows off the Kent quartet’s effortlessly sweet power-pop style backed by a ferocious indie leaning. “‘So Soon’ is quite different to any other Indoor Pets song,” frontman Jamie Glass says. “I wanted to just write a love song, and ignore the voices in my head that say that all signs of positivity need to be taken with a pinch of salt. I always avoided writing love songs because it felt forced and slightly unobtainable. ‘So Soon’ demonstrates that even the most cynical can fall in love. Hard too. And it caught me out, big time.”

Featuring Zoe, the track is beautiful low-key jam combining electro-acoustic samples, hip-hop and synthesisers. Speaking on the song Yuki Ame says, “The concept formed from wanting to combine the melodic and harmonic nature of folk and written song with electronic rhythm and synthesis.” An utterly gorgeous number, “Circles” is an exciting look at what’s to come.
