The main festivity of Pride month, London’s Pride Parade, happens this Saturday (29th), with more than 30,000 people expected to take over Central London for a full day of colourful celebrations. Across six stages, from Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square to Victoria Embankment Gardens, the capital will host a stellar lineup of performances by the likes of Princess Julia, Poppy Ajudha, Charlieeeee, and many more. There have been so many exciting new queer romance novels to choose from lately, but this weekend, we’re heading to the bookstore to grab a copy of Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban. If you, like us, finished watching the latest *Bridgerton* season and are eagerly awaiting (spoiler alert) Francesca’s potential queer love story, you’ll be just as excited about this book as we are. Released back in January, it follows two 1857 debutantes who set up their widowed parents as a distraction from the monotony of their own husband hunt. But as they play the role of matchmakers, they might just fall for each other instead. We’re swooning. And as we’re already anticipating falling in love with the world, we’re excited to say that Alban is releasing a follow-up novel, You’re the Problem, It’s You, out in August.

Earlier this week, fans around the world celebrated the news from Sophie’s family that a posthumous album from the legendary producer will be released later this year.
