CHARLES LEVINE & MARTIN BUTTRICH – “FESTIVAL QUEEN”

The impressively versatile duo join up again for a mesmerising new EP.

Charles Levine, one half of the legendary dance DJ duo Soul Clap, has been igniting dance floors and playlists with his electrifying beats since the mid-2000s. Acclaimed and Grammy-nominated producer Martin Buttrich, known for his masterful and meticulous blend of lush synth arrangements and compelling house grooves, boasts an enviable and diverse discography. After forming a close and dynamic partnership in 2016 during their collaboration on Soul Clap’s self-titled second album, the duo reunites for “Festival Queen”, an energetic and fun EP released on the emerging and innovative imprint Stratasonic.

The EP opens with the title track “Festival Queen”, a vibrant and powerful dance cut that shines with expansive, angelic vocals set against a relentless, infectious, and lurid groove. “Charlie & The Moog” further highlights the duo’s palpable synergy, offering a deep, playful, and trippy affair with languid synths and loose-limbed drums. Both tracks feature mesmerizing dub iterations, showcasing the duo’s dynamic and creative chemistry.
