Beloved indie-rock crooner Soccer Mommy has excitingly announced that her next studio record, Evergreen, is on route, poised for a late October release. We’ve been gifted the album’s lead single, the gentle, rousing and utterly cascading “M”. Written in the wake of her mother’s passing, it’s a powerful and poignant cut, typically meticulous in its writing and structure.

Seminal US outfit American Football have announced news to release – not one – but two new albums, interlinked to their incredible 1999 self-titled debut. One record will be a remastered version of the original, whilst the other will be the LP reimagined by a myriad of incredible artists. To kick proceedings off, where better to start than with “Never Meant”? The remaster makes the track crisper than ever, whilst folk savant Iron & Wine offers a gorgeous interpretation of the classic song.

Japanese rapper Tohji refuses to be restricted to sound, style or influence. The genre-defiant artist has shared “medium rare” alongside producer Mechatok, a hyper pop-tinged, dreamy and quite beautiful single with gentle vocals and synth-scapes as key sonic components.
