New Mural by Sophie Mess at The Stage, Shoreditch
While London Fashion Week unfolds, London’s Mural Festival also brings fresh energy to the city. The Stage, a hub in Shoreditch, recently unveiled a stunning new mural by artist Sophie Mess, known for her vibrant, botanical-inspired work. Titled Together We Rise, this mural transforms a concrete lift shaft into a permanent piece of art, blending natural beauty with the city’s industrial structures. “At its core, my work is all about igniting and exploring our connection with nature, and how emphasizing this connection in the urban environment can have such a positive impact,” says Sophie. “Though I always want my work to be open and interpreted by the viewer on a personal level, I took inspiration from the setting for this piece. The fact that the mural is on a lift shaft, I wanted to create a piece that represented working together to rise.” Be sure to add this to your map when strolling through East London this weekend!
