Jurassic Park never gets old, and every time those heart-pounding adventures and terrifying dinosaurs roar back to life, we’re drawn straight to the cinema. This July 2nd, Jurassic World: Rebirth promises to crank up the thrills even higher. Set a few years after the events of Jurassic World Domination, the film follows a team of scientists who return to the forbidden island on a desperate mission to find dinosaur blood that could hold the key to curing heart disease.

What makes this instalment even more exciting is its stellar cast – featuring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey – who bring fresh energy and depth to the saga. Their performances add new layers to a story we thought we knew, making every chase, every encounter with these prehistoric predators feel even more intense.

But of course, this is Jurassic Park — nothing is ever that simple. Expect jaw-dropping visual effects, heart-stopping chases, and moments so intense you’ll be on the edge of your seat (and maybe dropping your popcorn). Well, speaking of classics, Superman is without a doubt one of the most iconic – and he’s flying back onto our screens this summer in a reboot that has DC fans buzzing. Landing in cinemas on 11 July, this latest instalment stars our Wonderland Summer 2025 cover star David Corenswet as Clark Kent, and takes us back to Superman’s roots — from his quiet beginnings in Kansas to his life as a reporter at the Daily Planet, all while navigating his not-so-secret identity as the beloved superhero.

Joining him is fellow cover star Nicholas Hoult, who steps onto the role of Lex Luthor with a chilling edge and a fresh bald look that’s already making headlines. The on-screen chemistry between the two promises to be electric, with the perfect balance of tension and charisma.

And while reboots can be divisive, early viewers lucky enough to catch the film ahead of its release are already raving. Under the direction of James Gunn – best known for Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide SquadSuperman delivers on action, heart, and just the right amount of humour. It’s a bold, modern take on a timeless hero, and by all accounts, it’s one not to miss.

I Know What You Did Last Summer

It’s officially the summer of sequels and reboots, and another cult classic is making its return to the big screen. I Know What You Did Last Summer – the slasher hit that first terrified audiences in 1997 – is back 28 years later with a brand-new chapter, landing in UK cinemas on 18 July with a fresh cast and that same chilling tension.

Whilst boasting a stacked cast, including Madelyn Cline, Jonah Hauer-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Gabbriette, in a thrilling twist of nostalgia, original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. also return to reprise their iconic roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson.

If you missed the original, it followed a group of friends who accidentally killed someone and dumped the body at sea – only to be stalked a year later by a hook-wielding fisherman who knew their deadly secret. The new instalment reimagines the premise for a modern audience, following five friends who commit a hit-and-run and vow to take the truth to the grave – until, one year later, someone lets them know they’ve been watching all along. Desperate and terrified, they turn to the only two people who’ve lived through this kind of nightmare before.

Packed with suspense, nostalgia, and a killer new twist, this reboot-slash-sequel is set to slash its way into cinemas – and we’re already hooked.

Eddington

Missed Westerns? You’re in luck. Eddington is galloping into cinemas this summer with a bold new take on the genre – and it’s already being called the first truly modern Western. Directed by Ari Aster (MidsommarHereditary), the film swaps dusty cowboy clichés for psychological tension, political unrest, and a darkly human edge.

Set during the COVID-19 pandemic, the story centres on a small-town standoff between a sheriff and a mayor that spirals into chaos, turning neighbour against neighbour in the tight-knit community of Eddington, New Mexico. It’s a slow-burning powder keg of fear, mistrust, and shifting power – and it’s all delivered by a powerhouse cast including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone.

With Aster’s signature eerie atmosphere and a narrative that hits uncomfortably close to home, Eddington promises to be just what we expect: tense, timely, and utterly gripping. Simmering with unease and powered by unforgettable performances, it’s a reflection of a world pushed to its breaking point. Eddington arrives in US cinemas on 18 July, with a UK release set for 22 August.

It’s a busy summer for Pedro Pascal – and we’re not mad about it. Hot off his role in Eddington, he’s suiting up once again, this time as part of Marvel’s highly anticipated reboot, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Joining him are Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, forming a fresh, unexpected – and frankly fantastic – line-up that set the internet ablaze when announced back in February 2024.

Directed by Matt Shakman, best known for WandaVision and Game of Thrones, the film explores the lives of Marvel’s first family as they try to balance everyday responsibilities with the not-so-ordinary task of saving the planet. Between family dinners and superhuman showdowns, they must defend Earth from Galactus, a cosmic force of destruction, and his mysterious ally, the Silver Surfer. It hits UK cinemas on 25 July, and we’re ready to see Marvel’s original icons return in spectacular fashion.
