LUCA ECK IS ON REPEAT

Rosalía, underscores, Cascada: experimental Berlin-based artist Luca Eck delves into the tracks that inspired their new EP, “FLESH”.

Luca Eck Is On Repeat

Challenging, compelling, and avant-garde to the core, the new five-track EP from Berlin-situated polymath Luca Eck is a thrilling trip into electro-futurism and raw club hedonism.

“FLESH” is sonically maximalist, boldly queer, and features some of the most interesting underground artists of the now, such as Year0001 artist Namasenda on the title track, and Nollypop pioneer Deto Black.

Celebrating the EP, Luca rounds up the music that influenced their EP in our latest On Repeat.

Rick Farin – “Life Strobe”

So emotional yet energetic, one of my favourite tracks to play.

Rosalía ft. Björk & Yves Tumor – “Berghain

This song made me wanna go back into my classical roots.

underscores – “Music”

Following underscores for a while now, great to see her finally making music.

Cascada – “Evacuate The Dancefloor”

The first electronic music song I got obsessed with as a kid.

COBRAH – “Record Deal”

The way the topline and instrumental complement each other is out of this world.

Saramalacara – “contacto visual”

Me & the melody in the sample speak the same language fr.

Rosa Anschütz, Kobosil – “Rigid (Kobosil 44 Rush Mix)”

This song paved the way for all the hybrids between pop and hard electronic music that are dominating pop culture atm. personal hot take: this song made brat possible.

BLVTH – “Mars”

Incredible German producer, the sound design and writing on this really inspired me.

Frost Children ft. Danny Brown – “Shake It Like A”

This song is an all-time favourite for my sets. That buildup is incredible. Simple sophistication.

EQ – “Boytoy”

Life-altering song, honestly. Never heard anything like it before. Honoured to have E on my EP.
