The Last Dinner Party – “The Scythe”
One of the biggest breakout bands from Britain in the last few years, The Last Dinner Party will share a sophomore album, From The Pyre, on 17th October. The latest teaser, “The Scythe”, is one of the most tender and emotionally resonant efforts that the quintet have released; beautifully melodious and rousingly progressive.
Latto, Ice Spice – “GYATT”
Two of US rap’s hottest names right now – Latto and Ice Spice – have collaborated on a playful trap banger. The pair go back-to-back atop a bouncy backdrop, bringing charisma, cheek and craft.
Venna ft. Jorja Smith – “Myself”
This is a link-up we’ve all been waiting for. Grammy-winning saxophonist and producer Venna, whose debut album is finally here, borrows the wonderful talents of Walsall’s finest Jorja Smith for the sleek and atmospheric “Myself”
Mura Masa – “I’m Really Hot (For Myself)”
Grammy Award-winning superproducer Mura Masa is making some of the best sample-heavy dance music you’ll hear. Latest track “I’m Really Hot (For Myself)” is a mind-bending, genre-blurring masterclass of crate digging and production nuance.
Justin Bieber ft. Bakar – “DON’T WANNA”
If one surprise album from JB wasn’t enough, then perhaps two is. Less than two months after dropping his warmly received R&B-leaning opus SWAG, he’s only gone and dropped a Part II. Standout cut “DON’T WANNA” gets British troubadour Bakar involved.
Florence Road – “Break The Girl”
Skyrocketing to indie pop stardom, Irish girl group Florence Road are one of the strongest newcomers in the guitar music space. New single “Break The Girl” is piercing, anthemic and damn good fun.
Daniel Avery – “Greasy Off The Racing Line”
Plucked off his forthcoming, highly anticipated, Halloween due, sixth studio album Tremor, Daniel Avery shares the most electric single yet. “Greasy Off The Racing Line” is a monstrous masterpiece with unhinged production, vocal mayhem from The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, and a quite terrifying video accompaniment.
PARTYOF2 – “FRIENDLY FIRE”
Undoubtedly one of US hip hop’s most exciting new acts, LA-based two piece – consisting of Jadagrace and SWIM – PARTYOF2 are set to drop their debut album, AMERIKA’S NEXT TOP PARTY!, on 17th October via Def Jam Recordings. The latest teaser, “FRIENDLY FIRE,” has an old-school feel, featuring grimy bass and slick flows from the talented duo.
SL ft. Giggs & Catch – “Block Tales”
With this new mixtape, “Block Tales”, London rapper SL – no longer a rising name – cements his presence in the highest tier of the UK scene. The title track features not only impressive new comer Catch, but also the South London general himself, Giggs.
Rema – “Fun”
Rema is going from strength to strength. One of the Afro music’s modern pioneers, it’s been another incredible year for him, culminating in this run of strong singles. The newest of which, “Fun”, is pure vibrance.
Pearl2 – “Yr Pearl2 Keep”
A new enigma emerges. Following a debut single earlier this year, mystery musicians Pearl2 have dropped a sophomore cut, “Yr Pearl2 Keep”, an ambitious, ambiguous and intoxicating trip-hop-indebted sonic statement.
Lola Young – “Spiders”
With the new album, I’m Only F**king Myself, due in a fortnight, South London’s Lola Young takes a wistful side step for its latest teaser. “Spiders” has a grunge-fuelled core, with Young’s raw and emotional vocal performance wholly goosebump-inducing.
Blawan – “NOS”
Much-revered producer Blawan has announced that he will be sharing a long-awaited debut album on XL Recordings, SickElixir. This teasing glimpse is a challenging and deeply compelling listen, consisting of stark musical textures and progressive production ideas.
Ebbb – “Eyes”
London trio Ebbb continue to be among the capital’s most evocative and enduring underground acts. This new Ninja Tune shared single “Eyes” is their second release of the year, and is an oddly euphoric and faintly familiar left-field gem.
Eleni Drake – “Half Alive”
Eleni Drake is a real heartbreaker. The British/Greek singer, songwriter and producer will unveil her new album CHUCK on 31st October. For now, she’s gifted us “Half Alive”, a truly dazzling and devastating stripped-back folk cut. Wowie.
JID ft. Clipse, Pusha T & Malice – “Community”
Atlanta rap superstar JID joins forces with Clipse for the official music video of “Community”. Directed by Omar Jones, the video emerges as a visually striking production, taking in intimate portraits of Atlanta and its people, underlining the viral nature of three rap MVPs of the year.
Elmiene – “Damage Control”
Among the most acclaimed names in the new wave, British-Sudanese soul sensation Elmiene shares a mixtape brimming with depth and musical intricacy, “Heat The Streets”. Lead single “Damage Control” is groove-laden and beautifully performed.

Alt pop riser hemlocke springs is back with her first original music since her 2023 debut EP. “the beginning of the end” is vibrant and fun but also carries a deeper, resonant meaning.

New Nigerian star Salle has just shared her much-anticipated debut EP, “Only Sad People Smile”. It’s a strong collection of tracks from the 21-year-old, with the lead single “Underskirt” proving particularly effective.
aespa – “Rich Man”
K-pop’s premium girl band aespa has dropped an empowering and rip-roaring rock pop banger “Rich Man”. Tongue-in-cheek and excellently choreographed, it’s an emblem of the group’s appeal.
Fletchr Fletchr – “Jet Black”
Announcing themselves to the flourishing UK guitar scene, four-piece Fletchr Fletchr unleash an angsty, emotionally fuelled anthem, “Jet Black”.
Tay Iwar – “WONDERFUL”
GRAMMY-nominated Nigerian superstar Tay Iwar delivers his highly anticipated EP “WONDERFUL”. Hedex ft. ArrDee & Digital Farm Animals – “Same Cycle”
Drum & Bass trailblazer Hedex’s latest offering “Same Cycle” features UK rapper ArrDee — having previously worked together on “Liquour & Cigarettes” alongside Chase & Status — as well as acclaimed songwriter-producer Digital Farm Animals, one of the most revered UK producers to have risen in the last decade.
