The Last Dinner Party – “Count The Ways”

One of Britain’s most acclaimed modern bands, The Last Dinner Party are back with a follow-up to their No.1 debut album with a softer, more sophisticated sophomore, From The Pyre. Produced by Grammy-winning Wolf Alice and Bjork collaborator Markus Dravs, the LP doubles down on the theatre of its predecessor and adds splashes of deep-seated introspection and wider musical influence. “Count The Ways” is the stunning lead single.

Tame Impala – “My Old Ways”

A man who has consistently shifted the musical landscape over the past 15 years, Kevin Parker’s Tame Impala needs no introduction. Back with his first record in five years, Deadbeat, the project sees Parker dive deeper than ever into holistic songwriting, experimenting with his indie-pysch-electro formula with seminal success.

Maddie Ashman – “I hate goodbyes”

Maddie Ashman is cutting through the scores of new artists – despite only being her sophomore single, “I hate goodbyes” is one of the best tracks of the week. It’s cinematic and beautiful, devastating and esoteric. There are shades of Fiona Apple, glimpses of Caroline Polachek, and compositional comparisons to Black Country New Road’s latest album. Stunning work, truly.

Ayra Starr ft. Rema – “Who’s Dat Girl”

Ayra Starr and Rema join forces on “Who’s Dat Girl”, a genre-blending anthem fusing Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and Middle Eastern textures. The track builds on Ayra’s massive 2025 run, with the pair’s magnetic chemistry, more than delivering.

Headache – “Nineteen Sixty Five”

Is anyone else obsessed with Vegyn’s side project Headache? Well, for those of you who are also deeply compelled by the idiosyncratic work of one of Britain’s best producers, you’re in luck – a new sophomore has been released. The less said about this one, the better – check it out. The intro track, “Nineteen Sixty Five” really sets the tone.

Balming Tiger ft. Yaeji – “wo ai ni”

If you don’t know this group of idiosyncratic musicians, you should get to. Balming Tiger have become one of Korea’s most interesting exports across the past few years, and are now back with a double-sided single. “wo ai ni” is a collaboration with producer, singer and DJ Yaeji, and is a gently groovy, undeniably effervescent alt pop gem.

Nemzzz – “8pm”

One of the UK’s most consistent and quickest rising rappers Nemzzz returns to his sonic roots with new cut “8pm”. After viral collaboration with Latto introduced the Mancunian to a wider US audience, he drops this banger – a snappy, ominous drill cut.

Courtney Barnett – “Stay In Your Lane”

Grammy-nominated Aussie rocker Courtney Barnett returns to kick off a new music era – as bold and bohemian as ever. Fresh single “Stay In Your Lane” upholds the Barnett maxim of riotous performance, potent songwriting and some storming guitar work.

Magdalena Bay – “Human Happens”

It’s another superb duo of tracks from one of music’s most exciting twosomes. Magdalena Bay’s sophomore record from last year was one of 2025’s best, and with this fresh run of singles, Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin are showing the extent of the sonic eclecticism. “Human Happens” is a soaring, ethereal, electro-tinged dream pop anthem.

Brian Nasty ft. Sofie Royer – “I Have So Much More To Tell You”

Brian Nasty is a refreshing presence in the London scene. He’s a rapper, a singer, a lyricist, a creative heavyweight that pushes boundaries at each passing corner. New single “I Have So Much More To Tell You”, plucked from an ongoing mixtape project, borrows the musicality of Austrian-Iranian multidisciplinary artist Sofie Royer, and is a downbeat, soulful gem.

Lexie Liu – “TEENAGE RAMBLE”

Lexie Liu returns with “TEENAGE RAMBLE”, her boldest and most personal project yet, and her first fully English-language release. The EP blends 2000s dance-pop and Y2K nostalgia with indie grit, channeling icons like Gaga and Rihanna through a distinctly Lexie lens, a chaotic, emotional deep-dive into modern girlhood. Lead single “X” drops with a high-energy, choreo-heavy visual on Monday – an ode to the pop stars who raised her.

This Is Lorelei – “Name The Band”

The first track from a forthcoming new album, Holo Boy, Nate Amos – aka This Is Lorelei, aka one part of Water From Your Eyes – shares “Name The Band”. The 92 second cut keeps it short, sharp and sweet, with stunning songwriting and snappy guitar riffage.

MOLIY x Tyla – “Body Go”

MOLIY returns today with “Body Go”, a dance-floor anthem featuring Grammy-winner Tyla. Blending R&B, Amapiano, Afrobeats and pop, the track celebrates freedom, sisterhood and joy, a perfect follow-up to MOLIY’s billion-streaming smash “Shake It To The Max”. The Ghanaian-American and South African superstars link up with a shared vision of capturing the energy of a perfect night out, and the chemistry is undeniable.

Tallulah Argue – “Tough-As-They-Make-Em”

Toronto-born, London-based newcomer Tallulah Argue shares “Tough-As-They-Make-Em”, a tongue-in-cheek alt-pop track that lives deep in her self-coined world of Country Sleaze. Fresh off sold-out shows at Islington venue, The Lexington, the Central Saint Martins graduate is one to keep firmly on your radar.

Blanco – “Regime”

Layered over kuduro-influenced production—a genre born in Angola’s capital Luanda during a time of civil unrest, where music became both an outlet and a revolutionary force—Blanco’s latest track “Regime” nods to his Angolan heritage while drawing on the genre’s spirit of resilience. Through hard-hitting lines that reference disinformation, global unrest and the desensitisation of war, Blanco reflects on the human cost of conflict while questioning whether society truly confronts the struggles that shape daily life.

Ain’t – “Long Short Round”

Word of mouth is spreading fast, London band Ain’t return with “Long Short Round”, a sprawling six-minute trip that cements their rep as one of the UK’s most exciting new guitar bands. Produced by Ali Chant, the daring new single fuses 90s alt-rock, post-punk and shoegaze.

Truman Sinclair – “dustland”

Truman Sinclair’s new single “dustland” is a lo-fi, slow-burning track full of grit and gut-punch emotion. It follows a bustling breakout, including a standout set at End of the Road and a packed headline at the Elephant’s Head. Originally from Chicago’s emo and metal scenes, and founder of cult favourite band Frat Mouse, Sinclair brings a raw, DIY spirit to his alt-country sound, navigating the contradictions of loving a nation you’re disillusioned by.

Chrissi – “ONE IN FIVE !”

Newly signed to Black Butter Records and following her dazzling turn on Kojey Radical’s latest album, singer-songwriter Chrissi drops a soul pop gem, “ONE IN FIVE !” With potent lyricism and a compassionate vocal performance, the new cut is a powerful and affecting effort.

MLEKO – “Gub Rock”

The newest signing to Manchester indie label Heist Or Hit, the freshly emerging MLEKO looks set to follow contemporaries like Westside Cowboy towards widespread acclaim across the indie circumference. Debut single “Gub Rock” is a slowly progressive, deeply impactful art rock track with thrilling brass and a broadly compelling vocal performance.

Dolder – “Charlie”

Another debut single that makes a searing impression, sister duo Dani and Zara Dolder bring folk elegance and dazzling harmonies on “Charlie”. It’s a raw and tender cut, suggesting an emotional and musical brevity that will grow with each passing release.

piri & tommy – “miss provocative”

Shifting from the DnB character of their early singles, piri & tommy drop a groovy pop number with some slick production, Latin-leaning guitar work and an instantly catchy chorus.

5 Seconds of Summer – “Boyband”
